As a vineyard owner and mother of four boys, I've come to cherish how our vineyard brings people together. One of my favorite memories happened right here in the heart of the Highlands. It was a crisp autumn evening, and we decided to host an impromptu family picnic among the vines. With the younger kids playing tag between the grapevines and the older ones helping to set up a cozy bonfire, it struck me how this place we call work is also deeply intertwined with our family's happiest moments. We love to share this blend of family warmth and vineyard charm with couples on their special day, hoping to offer them the same joy and togetherness we experience every day.

Spring Wedding at The Vineyard

Where do I even begin? When my husband and I were looking at venues a little over a year ago, we were feeling a little hopeless. Nothing felt quite right. That feeling was stripped away when we saw The Vineyard at High Holly. We left our tour giggly about the fact that we both fell in love with the property and knew we had to get married there.

The cottages each have great personality, and make accommodations easy for family and wedding party members. Golf cart use makes getting around easy, even for people who may have mobility challenges. The ceremony space is absolutely beautiful. There are plenty of fire pits and gathering spots sprinkled across the property for people to get together.

The pavilion has gorgeous views of the property and can be opened up to let in a breeze, or closed to keep out any rain. This reception space has a good sized commercial kitchen in it, making it a breeze to cater. Access to the refrigerators means it is easy to keep perishables and beverages cool the whole weekend.

About 10 months after signing a venue contract, the property had new ownership. We were so nervous… Would this mean we would have to change venues? What would the new owners be like?

My husband and I left our meeting with the new owners, Lesley and Eric, relieved and even more excited about the venue. They had been all hands on deck, working to make an already beautiful property look even more like heaven. It was important to us that our wedding weekend felt like a vacation getaway for our guests staying on-site, and for ourselves. On our last day at the vineyard, my husband and I didn’t want to leave after experiencing such a hospitable stay on this beautiful property. The owners are truly great people and extremely professional and passionate about making the vineyard the perfect space for events/vacations.

Amidst some planning troubles, Lesley stepped up and worked personally with me to ensure we had everything ready to go with each vendor. She and Eric truly went above and beyond in helping plan our wedding weekend, and in actively working behind the scenes on our wedding day. Lesley’s communication skills are impeccable, which makes a huge impact when planning a wedding. Her attention to detail is unmatched, and her hospitality made the experience so calming and even fun.

My husband and I will absolutely be coming back to the vineyard for small getaways and to celebrate our anniversary next year. Lesley and Eric, we can’t thank you enough for everything and are looking forward to seeing you again soon! ❤️

Spring Cooking Class with Chef Tim Lundy

We had a great Spring night of cooking with Chef Tim Lundy. It was an evening of fun, food, great wine and THE BEST people.

Chef Tim and Michelle started the evening off by introducing us to amazing recipes. All of our guests were ready to put their aprons on, chop all of the ingredients and create a beautiful meal together.

The groom looked dapper in his tailored suit, his eyes gleaming with happiness as he watched his bride walk down the aisle.

As the ceremony ended, the newlyweds made their way down to the picturesque steps to capture some of the most stunning wedding photos. The soft glow of the afternoon sun combined with the serene views created a picture-perfect moment that will be cherished forever.

The reception was held at our all-weather pavilion which was transformed into a romantic space filled with warm, soft lighting and a hint of rustic charm. The tables were adorned with wildflowers and flickering candles, creating an intimate and cozy atmosphere.

The guests enjoyed a delicious meal of local cuisine, and the dance floor was open for everyone to celebrate and create new memories. As the night ended, the couple was surrounded by their loved ones as they shared a final dance under the starry sky.
